4 out of 5 stars above average shoes !!!   January 27, 2010
Eugene Frias Ostil (Heredia, Costa Rica)
For a person who does not play tennis and use it as an everyday shoe ... this is almost excellent! I am a bit overweight and my foots is actually a little wider than people my size, but there is no need to break this shoe in! I could just slip on it without untying and adjusting! nice for short brisk walks too! On long brisk walk, some other brand shoes are propbably better, but the comfot makes up for it! No regrets.

1 out of 5 stars Not even shaped like a foot   November 11, 2009
Edward G (Franklin Square, NY)
I am currently "between shoes" as Wilson keeps discontinuing every model I've liked. I generally buy shoes that are labeled "extra wide". I've worn shoes the manufacturer has called 2E, 3E and 4E. I don't mind wearing more than one pair of socks, in fact I prefer it.

I gave this shoe a try because a tennis specific website indicated this was a good choice for wide feet. It isn't. At least not if you need width in the forefoot. I spent several days trying to stretch these guys out and then finally decided I'd made enough progress to give them a shot on the court. It was a painful experience and I really could not play my game with them on.

I think the workmanship of the shoe is top notch but the shape is really not foot-like. If you look at a Nike shoe or a Wilson shoe, they are shaped like feet. This shoe is shaped like a canoe. If your feet are shaped like canoes then you've found your shoe.

I think on the basis of my experience with these shoes that I like a comfort oriented shoe. The ride in these things is harsh. Using a car analogy, I am guessing I need a Cadillac type ride and got a Corvette by mistake.

5 out of 5 stars Most comfortable tennis shoe I've owned   September 24, 2009
arkmich (Milford, MI United States)
The K-Swiss Ultrascendor is the most comfortable pair of tennis shoes I've owned yet. There are no painful spots, the toe box is plenty wide, and the leather is very flexible. The lining around the ankle area is also very comfortable, and the opening is wide enough that they slip on/off easily without untying. I use these for tennis, other sports, and also as everyday shoes.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent playability, about average durability   July 24, 2009
slagvaerk (Sweden)
Best tennis shoe available for that low price IMO. Well cushioned and light. Performs well on clay (when new), carpet and hardcourt. Sole durability of average standard...note that there are two variants of the UltrAscendor, this review is for the standard ("low") version...

5 out of 5 stars My shoe for tennis   July 7, 2008

I occcasionally try others - always come back (usually because my feet are hurting). Toebox is wide, no break-in required.
